This year I was lucky enough to be featured inĀ EOS Magazine, one of my favorite publications – EOS Magazine.

Donsol, Philippines!

Donsol is one of those off-the-beaten-track adventures that lives up to the traveler hype. Not too long ago it was hardly spoken of, barely on the map community, and now it’s a well-known whale shark migration spot where you can get up close and personal with these magnificent creatures.

Streets of Manila

The streets of the worlds most densely populated city is quite an experience, and a necessary one for any trip to the Philippines. Behind the seemingly hostile exterior, the traveler can find some of the friendliest people in the world on these streets, which are surprisingly safe, easy and fun to explore!

Manila to Donsol

Travelers looking to get transport from Manila to the magical Donsol have a couple of options to choose from when planning trip: Air or Bus.

Chicago!

Essential Chicago

Architecture, food and music defines essential Chicago for me. There’s a lot of history here spanning Native Americans, gangsters, to jazz and blues music. Not only is this stuff in the history books, but its alive in the streets. A walk around the city brings the imagination alive wondering what it would have been like in the grand era, and the architecture and food of Chicago gives the backpacker reason alone to remember this city.

Manila: Into the Metropolis

Without polish or elegance this is a metropolis of immense proportions that defies expectations. Manila is the worlds most densely populated city, and with a low surface quality tourists are often intimidated and easily discouraged from venturing into a city that begs adventure. If one can look past the surface layer, some of the worlds friendliest people and utterly authentic experiences wait to be discovered.

Colombia’s Historic Countryside

Villa de Leyva represents Colombian antiquity without the fabricated feel of a tourist mecca, and it’s a ton of fun! Vintage cars, immaculate Spanish architecture, open air markets and a beautiful landscape add to the charm that is Villa de Leyva.

What is a Jeepney?

Riding a Jeepney is one of those essential things every traveler must experience in the Philippines. Jeenpeys are highly regarded and beloved by the Philippines for their unique style and charisma, however to any bystander these reckless machines spew massive amounts of pollution, have zero predictability and are ridiculously fun.

Canyonlands Vista

The Wonder of Utah

Peer into a wonderland of spires, pinnacles, walls, arches and windows, all the more arresting for their vivid coloring; iron compounds, of red and brown, limonite yellows, purple & lavender.
